Emergency Department gives 24hrs of high quality medical service with its
professional health team formed by emergency medicine specialists, residents, specially
trained nurses and paramedics under the supervision of the faculty members of
Department of Emergency Medicine, Akdeniz University Medical School.. Our Emergency
Department has one of the nationwide 112 Emergency Service Units in the
region and it can be reached by dialling toll-free 112 emergency medical system number
anywhere in the Antalya and the surrounding area.
There are 17 fully equipped patient beds and 40 short-stay observation beds for both adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Service. Our two-bed resusitation unit is always ready for all kinds of medical emergincies requiring intensive advanced trauma and life support care. “Pediatric Emergency Unit” is physically seperated from the adult section and supervised by both pediatricians and emergcy medicine staff. Our emergency department hasalso contains a fast responding Emergency Biochemistry Laboratory and physically in contact with our Emergency Radiology Unit containing equipment necessary for direct and radiocontrast enhanced X-ray examinations, an open magnetic resonance imaging unit, a computerized tomography, emergency and elective US facilities, angiograpy, Doppler ultrasonograpy. Bronchoscopy, special units and rooms for ear-nose-throat, ophtalmological and gynecologic examinations are also available in the emergency department area.
Our emergency department is a "Eurocenter" and has direct agreements with International SOS and REMED health assistance companies. On the other hand, patients with valid international health insurances from any company are welcomed to benefit our emergency medical service. German, English and Russian speaking staff from our "Private Insurances Unit" located near to our emergency department will be ready to assist you or your patient while visiting our hospital.
