AUH has 7 separate ICUs with a total of 64 paient beds consisting of reanimation, thoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, internal medicine, coronary care, pediatric surgery and newborn, as well as a two-bed burn unit.Each patient ICU bed has the advanced medical equipment support necessary for patient follow up and treatment such as volume respirators, central monitoring system and also advanced treatment options such as use of intraaortic baloon pumps, on site hemodialysis, hemofiltration, CAVH, or bronchoscopy when they needed. We are also proud of the perfect backup given to the ICU's by the academic staff of other departments in the university hospital.
