FACULTY OF COMMUNICATION

Founded in 2000, the faculty works in cooperation with the department of Public Relations and Presentation, in which the students may take a 1-year preparatory course. The faculty aims to endow its students with a theoretical background in communication studies, a discipline that will be of vital importance in the coming century, as well as with the experience and abilities needed for its practical implementation.

The academic staff includes academics who have the ability to successfully combine and integrate theory and practice. Studios and laboratories endowed with state of the art equipment, adaptable to the rapid developments in technology are at the service of the students. In acquainting themselves with the realities of professional life, students gain knowledge and experience not only in the history, theoretical foundations and ethics of their discipline, but also in its technical and practical implementation. The foundation of the Broadcasting Agency of the Faculty of  Communication is an excellent example of how the students can improve their practical and applied skills in the field of  news, the press and broadcasting. The flow of news from the students’ newspaper and radio is disseminated by this institution.

The faculty  aims to maintain an identity with the graduates who, with their knowledge and skills in written and oral presentation, both in their own native language and in a foreign language, will be able to take part in international projects, work in international organisations, continue in post-graduate education, or any combination.
