FACULTY OF FINE ARTS

The faculty was founded in 1999 with the departments of Painting, Sculpture, Graphic Arts and Ceramics, while the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design were opened in 2001, and in 2003 the departments of Cinema and TV, Photography and Musical Sciences were added.

The aim of the faculty is to produce artists capable of taking such diversified forms of artistic expression as painting, sculpture, print making and illustration, and blending them with contemporary movements and trends. The programmes focus on equipping students with skills in artistic thinking, and the ability to perceive artistic concepts while enhancing their artistic talents.

The main concern of the faculty is to encourage the ability to deliver an artistic product, while helping the students to develop and improve the intensity of their thoughts. The applied education programme helps to improve students creativity, and supports the realisation of their self-control mechanism. The flexibility of the credit system helps the students to focus on creation as the main concern of their artistic view. The whole atmosphere concentrates on aesthetic values and the perfection of technique.
