Welcome, visitor no. to our (hopefully) permanent location on the Docnet site. This page will continue to be under the editorial control of the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital Library, though we have no control over the counter that's still not functioning correctly! CAVEAT: Do we really know what we're getting for free? Some of these sites only provide free access to certain parts of the vast MEDLINE database. Some permit quite detailed searching, others simple keywords only. Some have usage restrictions, though so far we've had no problems accessing US-only sites from the UK. We'd welcome feedback to help keep this page up to date.
There are currently two evaluation projects under way, under the auspices of NAHRS in the USA and OMNI in the UK. More details as they become available.
